ideal world

kamalsajja:

Casey you’re totally wrong, it is human nature to diagree, even on simplistic things such as world peace etc. nevertheless if all humans were relegated from their positions and placed together, a unanimous agreement would never be reached, for the simple reason that we have differing views. It’s illusionary statements such as these that give us a fictitious sense of security, get over it there is never going to be a harmonious utopian earth unless there is some sort of divine intervention. Its not called dream killing its called practicality.

If I get a group of 5 people together I am sure that we can make a unanimous decision. The only difference between 5 people and 6 billion people is the probability of an unanimous decision is much smaller. However, there is still a possibility. That chance, however small, is still worth fighting for. Ideals are not fantasy. They can be reached but only if we try to reach them.
