Casey Williams

Hey I’m Casey Williams I’m 16 and I go to Lakeside High School. I am a white male and I was born and raised in Atlanta. I am an avid guitar player and have a band that plays locally in Atlanta. Both of my parents are pretty liberal and they both support Barack Obama. I generally have pretty liberal values as well. Economically I would probably consider myself a socialist in that I think the government should play a more active role in the economy so that individuals can prosper, but at the same time I am a strong supporter of democracy and I think it is critical that every one has a say in government. That’s the only way I think socialism could work. I’m very liberal on social issues as well: pro-choice, pro gay marriage, some gun control, etc. I love the environment so I think we should try to switch to alternative energies. I don’t support the war in Iraq and frankly I don’t support any military action unless there is a direct military threat to our nation or there is a humanitarian crisis. Darfur for example could use U.S. military intervention. I try to be very opened minded and respect other people’s opinions, but if I disagree with you, I’ll take you down.
