People who I think are an embarassment to America:
People who willonly vote for Barack Obama because he is black. People who won’t vote for Barack Obama because he is black. People who won’t vote for Obama because they thinkn he’s going to get assasinated. People who won’t vote for McCain because they think he will die soon. People who think Obama is a terrorist. People who think Obama is an Arab. People who think...

When people do things like mutilate themselves for their candidate’s cause it just goes to show how monumental this election really is.

Remember the woman who claimed a man cut a B into the side of her face. Complete lie. Today she confessed that she was never mugged or assaulted. Police: Campaign Volunteer Lied, Injured Self

Wasting time? I just posted the vid to share some good laughs. I could relate it to politics if you want me to[on how McCain may be senile], but i don’t want to start a fued over something trivial that I admit was a simple mistake. In regards to the robbery, yeah that was pretty bad. People who use politics as a means to harm others is terrible. A lot of stuff like this has happened all over...

Through my statement on divine intervention I was alluding to the the book of Revelation, thus its not an ideal which is equated to probability its an actuality if you take the Bible seriously.Come on Casey lets learn our religions.

Glimmer of Hope?
“Many in the party, including inside the McCain campaign, have held out hope that a deep-pocketed benefactor would emerge to bankroll ads in the campaign’s final days — spots that might, for example, resurrect the most incendiary clips from the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.” -Politico: No cavalry for McCain McCain’s last glimmer of hope is for some third-party to rehash all of the...

kamal, I’m not sure how dreams give us a false sense of security anyway, at least anymore than your idea of a “divine intervention” does. And really your idea of divine intervention is actually an aknowledgement of the possibility of ideals and dreams to be reached. So thank you for agreeing with me.

ideal world
kamalsajja: Casey you’re totally wrong, it is human nature to diagree, even on simplistic things such as world peace etc. nevertheless if all humans were relegated from their positions and placed together, a unanimous agreement would never be reached, for the simple reason that we have differing views. It’s illusionary statements such as these that give us a fictitious sense of security, get over...

I would argue that an ideal world is possible but only if everyone accepts it as a possibility. By saying that it will never exist you create a self fulfilling prophecy. In other words, it is because comments like this that the idea of an ideal world becomes impossible.

lhspolitics: Alex you ideal world is never going to exist But isn’t that what ideals are for? The world will never be perfect, but we have to have something to strive for. The struggle to achieve the ideal is how progress is made.

lhspolitics: Alex you ideal world is never going to exist I know that… I am not idiotic. I was just giving my ideals. They are not practical and they make me probably a fool of an idealist, but I would rather be a fool with some hope that good in humanity outweighs the bad then to revert to some sort of pessimism where I can’t even find that ray of hope. We live in a beautiful world, and we are...

Tommy McConnell
Hey guys. My full name is Thomas Edward McConnell, I am 18 years old, and I was born in Atlanta but have incredibly heavy ties to Southern California. I have moved once but only about a mile away. I have a younger brother, Matt, who most of you know and is very close to me in age (13 months) and in kinship. My parents divorced when I was in 5th grade due to my Dad’s alcoholism, but we all...

Jason Venet
Some call me J.V., some call me the Polar Bear, but most just call me Jason.  Ideally, the world would be like one giant hippy colony and we wouldn’t need a government. Realistically, I understand that we need one but wish it was more like Switzerland’s with at least some sort of public referendum system.  I’m not terribly enthused with either of the two major parties that our...

To the Invitees:
People at Lakeside think they can talk politics. They make all these claims and accusations without backing up their ideas with fact. I created this blog so that we, the students at lakeside, can present our opinions and beliefs in an organized fashion. So we won’t have to duel it out in the classroom. If we can present our views on the election, the economy, domestic issues, and foreign...
